Many Miracles

The Many Miracles program is our response to the need for economic opportunity for residents of our communities. We have realized that a family cannot thrive on the single miracle of shelter; rather, a family needs Many Miracles to truly improve their situation. A family with no income will not suddenly be wealthy if they are moved into a concrete house. Children without education or proper nutrition will not be better off no matter how much money is spent on their roof.

The first Many Miracles program begun by Homes from the Heart is a sewing program. We have obtained industrial sewing machines and are progressing towards setting up a training program for women in the San Luis Talpa project. It is our hope for the women of this community to manufacture products such as purses that can be marketed in the United States.
